1. Technical review of hardware requirements, software, and connectivity for installation. This installation will be on a SuSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) 10 guest on zLinux.
2. Install DB2 UDB on the TEMS/TEPS server machine. Verify the Oracle database has been deployed by ThinkTech for the Tivoli Data Warehouse.
3. Install, patch, and configure ITCAM for Applications V6.2 Tivoli Enterprise Monitoring Server (TEMS), Tivoli Enterprise Portal Server (TEPS), and Tivoli Enterprise Portal (TEP) on the SLES 10 guest on the zLinux system.
4. Configure the Tivoli Data Warehouse (TDW), storage of up to four (4) metrics, and the Pruning and Summarization Agent. Verify that data collected in the Data Warehouse can be accessed from the TEP after 24-48 hours. The RDBMS will be Oracle, and created using the supplied scripts, and administered by ThinkTech. Data retention management will be taken over by the ThinkTech DBAs once it has been set up in TEST.
5. Install, patch, and configure the appropriate operating system agent and up to two (two) additional agents on the TEMS and on up to eight additional computers in ThinkTech’s test environment, patch them, and integrate them into the ITCAM for Applications environment. Deploy up to two (2) custom Universal Agents. Available agents include: a. ITCAM for Databases b. ITCAM for Virtual Servers c. Universal Agent The custom Universal Agent will be that which was developed earlier for Cache for this environment.
6. Test agent connections by browsing agent data within the TEPS, and test whether stopping and starting the agent reflects properly within ITCAM.
7. Test TEP Internet Explorer client sign on for up to three (3) users, and for up to three different user workstations.
8. Identify, communicate and resolve ITCAM for Applications 6.2 installation issues.
9. Develop up to two (2) custom TEP workspaces which use data coming from the monitoring operating system agents to display the data graphically for ThinkTech personnel.
10. Develop up to eight (8) ITCAM for Applications situations to notify ThinkTech personnel of out-of-bounds conditions of monitored operating systems. These situations may be a mix of newly-created situations, modified out-of-box situations, or unmodified out-of-box situations, if the default values are meaningful to the customer environment.
11. Create As-Built Document for ITCAM for Applications 6.2. 12. Conduct orientation overview for up to two (2) people in one session of about two (2) hours, demonstrating key out-of-the-box usage scenarios and administrative tasks.
Completion Criteria: This activity will be considered complete when either one of the following conditions first occurs:
1. IBM has delivered the As-Built Document for ITCAM for Applications 6.2 to the ThinkTech Project Manager, conducted the orientation overview, and executed the key usage scenarios identified in the Readiness Review. 2. 4. Develop the necessary pages and viewpoints within the Netcool GUI Foundation to support an operator profile with up to twelve (12) Active Event Lists filtering on event classes defined in the assessment phase. This will be based on the documentation produced from the Tivoli Solution Design engagement.
5. Develop the necessary pages and viewpoints to provide an example dashboard user profile complete with a simple tabular map with up to sixteen (16) rolled-up status indicators. This will be based on the documentation produced from the Tivoli Solution Design engagement.
6. Create the As-Built Document for OMNIbus 7.2.1 and Webtop 2.2. 7. Conduct orientation overview for up to two (2) people in one session of up to four (4) hours demonstrating key out-of-the-box usage scenarios and administrative functions.
