: IBM shall perform the following Services in relation to integrating the various Tivoli software components.
Job Description
The selection of these options will be determined in the preceding detailed design engagement.
The major subtasks are:
1. Event Console Consolidation and synchronization
a. Install the EIF Probe on the OMNIbus server for forwarding events from ITCAM for Applications TEMS to OMNIbus.
b. Configure the EIF Probe to start under PA control. Integrate with ITNM start/stop.
c. Configure ITCAM to forward events to the EIF probe.
d. Develop Netcool/OMNIbus rules to correctly present ITCAM events for up to ten (10) ITCAM situation(s) with the right fields that will be displayed in the Event Viewer.
e. Install the Event Synchronization Component on the OMNIbus server and enable the Situation Update Forwarder.
f. Configure two-way communication between ITCAM and OMNIbus so that changes made to events in OMNIbus are reflected in ITCAM event views.
2. ITNM Application Health Monitor
a. Install the appropriate ITCAM OS agents on the ITNM server (Linux).
b. Install the ITCAM Agent for ITNM on the ITNM server.
c. Verify the view of ITNM in TEPS.
3. Archival and reporting of historical network performance data
a. Create the ITNM historical database instance in the Tivoli Data Warehouse (TDW).
b. Configure the migration of historical network performance data to the TDW.
c. Configure the ITNM reports in Tivoli Common Reporting to use the TDW as the data source.
4. Archival and reporting of Event History
a. Install the Oracle Gateway on the OMNIbus server.
b. Configure the Oracle Gateway to start under PA control. Integrate with ITNM start/stop.
c. Create the Event History database instance in the Tivoli Data Warehouse RDBMS. This task will be performed by ThinkTech DBAs using scripts provided by IBM.
d. Install the Tivoli Common Reporting package for Omnibus in the Tivoli Integration Portal.
e. Configure the Omnibus Reports to use that database as the data source.
5. Develop limited integration with ThinkTech trouble ticketing system, BMC Remedy.
a. Develop one (1) test event scenario.
b. Establish and verify data flow from event monitoring system into BMC Remedy
c. Execute test event scenario.
6. Create As-Built document for Integration Tasks
7. Conduct orientation overview for up to two (2) people in one session of up to two (2) hours demonstrating key out-of-the-box usage scenarios and administrative functions
Completion Criteria: This activity will be considered complete when either one of the following conditions first occurs:
1. IBM has delivered the As-Built Document for Integration Tasks to the ThinkTech Project Manager, executed the key usage scenarios identified in the Readiness Review, and conducted the orientation overview.
2. IBM has met the completion criteria defined in the "Completion Criteria" section of this Statement of Work.
