Maintec Technologies to Sponsor Carolina Tiger Rescue’s Third Annual Black Tie & Tails Ball

Raleigh, N.C. (Feb. 22, 2010) Maintec Technologies, a provider of Remote Data Center Management, IT Staffing, Application Maintenance and Development services on Mainframe Platforms, will join local businesses in sponsoring Carolina Tiger Rescue’s third annual Black Tie & Tails Ball Feb. 27 at the Washington Duke Inn in Durham.
 
Carolina Tiger Rescue, a 55-acre big cat sanctuary home to nearly 70 animals—including tigers, ocelots, binturongs and more—hopes to raise $35,000 for its non-profit mission of rescuing and protecting wild cats in captivity and in the wild. Carolina Tiger Rescue not only rescues big cats when they are abandoned or confiscated from deplorable conditions, it also provides conservation education and conducts research and advocacy on behalf of these animals. 
 
“These are beautiful, majestic cats and we need to do whatever we possibly can to make sure the next generation can experience them,” said Maintec Founder and President Sonny Gupta. “Carolina Tiger Rescue offers visitors a chance to get very close to these beautiful cats without the dangers of being in wild—it’s an incredible experience.”
 
The Black Tie & Tales Ball will feature an India-inspired theme, showcasing the “land of the tiger’s” colors, culture and entertainment. Live and silent auctions, in addition to a gourmet dinner, will add to the evening’s fun and elegance.
