Guest Panel to Discuss View Points on Competing with Offshore Outsourcing

Raleigh, NCRepresenting information technology professionals in the Triangle area, the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) is a source of continuing education for both the information technology professional and the general public. Every month the Raleigh chapter of the AITP hosts dinner meetings that provide unique opportunities for direct contact with other information technology professionals and feature guest speakers who address the latest advances and issues the information technology field.

AITP/Raleigh invites area IT professionals to join us on Thursday, June 9th and hear from three panel members who represent 4 different viewpoints: an offshore outsourcer, a US outsourcer, a CIO who uses outsourcing services, and a visionary who foretold the offshore outsourcing trend. Panel members are: Sonny Gupta - Founder and President, Maintec / President and CEO, Web Design Studio. Francis Smith - EVP Operations, Rural Sourcing, Inc. David S. Watterson - Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Martin Marietta Materials. Sam Bayer – Founder, MarketAcuity, LLC. / Adjunct Faculty, Capella University Graduate School of Business.

The dinner presentation meeting will be held at the North Raleigh Hilton, 3415 Wake Forest Road, Raleigh (I-440 to Exit #10). The hotel is 1/4 mile north of the Beltline across from Raleigh Community Hospital.

The Association of Information Technology Professionals is the oldest organization representing information technology professionals in the United States and Canada. Since 1951, the association has been dedicated to the advancement of the information processing professional by promoting the effective, responsible management of information technology to the benefit of its members, their employers and society. The Raleigh chapter has served the greater Research Triangle Park community since it was chartered in 1952. Chapter membership includes information technology Managers, Programming/Systems Engineers, Researchers, Consultants, Sales and Marketing Managers, Educators, and Publishers.
